BAMart Silent Auction

Campaign promoting an online silent auction. In it’s eighth year but still lacking a solid identity, the visual art extension of BAM, aptly named BAMart, was seeking to set itself apart from other more “stuffy” fine art auction. I updated redesigned the logo used for past events, but focused less on the mark and more on the brand.

BAMart features young contemporary artists, as well as modern masters, and thus needed an identity that reflected the subject matter — without being the subject matter. Playing off the notion of silence, I developed a series in which people are literally silenced by art — or rather, silenced by a graphic interpretation of a framed piece of art. The composition is attention grabbing, youthful, and distinct — appealing to art world insiders as well as the common New Yorker.
